Gatwick airport has catered for this throughout the airport both before and after security. Gatwick supplies internet connections through "Spectrum Interactive Ltd" in both terminals (North & South) who have internet desks with connected Pcs.
You'll also find plenty of internet kiosks throughout both terminals. Payment for this service can be made by credit card, cash (UK pound or Euro) or even by vouchers.

You can also get high speed wireless access in both terminals at Gatwick airport via your laptop or mobile phone. There are several providers to choose from at various hotspots at the airport.
Not only that if you think your battery is low you can recharge it at any T-Mobile laptop station or on a BT Openzone chair.
To connect all you need to do is to open your internet browser and go to any page. this is when you'll see the list of service providers, then just select the provider you want... Easy!
