Flybe Launch New Route From Liverpool Airport
The low cost airline, which already runs services from Liverpool to the Isle of Man and Belfast City, as well as Amsterdam, are increasing capacity to their Isle of Man and Belfast City services by adding additional daily services.
Liverpool Airport CEO Comments
Airport CEO Andrew Cornish said: “This time last year Flybe only operated to the Isle of Man from Liverpool, but over the past 12 months we have worked closely with the airline to explore a number of opportunities. We are naturally delighted that their operations from here are going from strength to strength.
“Edinburgh is an important new domestic route for Liverpool as we continue to give passengers across the city region a wider choice of destinations from their local airport.”
Boost For Liverpool
The news is a huge boost for Liverpool Airport, and many believe the airport will continue to attract more airlines and services to compete against other regional airports. Continued increases in airport activity can also only be a good thing for the local economy.
