Holidaymakers Could Save Hundreds of Pounds on Spanish Holidays
With the strong pound against the euro, holidaymakers are getting much more for their money, which means accommodation can become cheaper.
Pound / Euro Exchange Rate
At the present moment, exchanging £300 will bring holidaymakers approximately 425 euros, that is an extra 60 euros compared to this time last year. A family of four can expect to save on average £229 on a week’s holiday compared to 2014.
However, if they book directly with a hotel in Spain then could expect to save even more money by paying in euros.
Save on Shopping & Eating
It is not only on accommodation people can expect to save money. With the strong pound, holidaymakers will be able to eat out for less and buy luxury goods much cheaper than in previous years.
According to travel agents, Spain has become much more attractive for a family holiday compared to long haul holidays, but nobody knows how long the strong pound will continue.
Book Direct & Save Even More
We have always advised our customers that booking direct with a hotel can be cheaper than going through a travel agent, and now we would like to offer another tip. While the pound is giving holidaymakers great value for their euros, it could be a good idea to book accommodation in Spain now for holidays later in the year and even early next year.
