New York tourism boss celebrates the increase in UK tourism

Fred Dixon, the head-of tourism for New York, announced at the IPW conference in Orlando, that an increase in tourist attractions, affordable accommodation and cheaper flights has helped boost the local tourism-industry for New York.
The number of holidaymakers from the UK increased to 1.139 million in 2014, and according to early reports it is expected that figure to rise to 1.172 for this year.
New York Tourism Chief Comments
Fred Dixon said: “With a mature market of the size of the UK, you don’t see major percentage changes year-on-year, but we are pleased that numbers continue to increase, and we believe the new air services and new product across the city are helping to drive that. “
One of the major attractions in New York includes the One World Observatory, which opened on May 29.
