 There's always a surprise in store in the ever-changing Pavilion restaurant. The food's different every day - there might be a set menu, or a buffet, or a themed menu ... but it's always good. And there's an exclusive offer for Holiday Extras customers (apart from in the school holidays, when it's available to everyone): three courses plus coffee for just £17 per person.
We'd be very happy to start with the oatmeal-crusted goat's cheese with sweet tomato coulis, roasted peppers and pesto, before tucking into venison casserole with Stilton dumplings, or mushroom ravioli with pesto cream sauce and rocket. The restaurant also excels itself when it comes to catering for special dietary requirements: they'll accommmodate whatever needs you have, and have an entire menu that's dairy-free. We had a peek at it, and would love to try the steamed pangasius (it's a kind of fish) fillet with roast Mediterranean vegetables, tomato sauce and black olives, followed by - yes - chocolate sponge pudding.
The restaurant is open from 7am to 10am - 11am at weekends - for breakfast, lunch from noon to 2pm, except on Saturdays, and dinner from 7pm to 9.45pm. There's also a special kids' menu designed by child nutrition expert Annabel Karmel.
