 The hotel is totally non smoking. The Days Hotel Gatwick has had a multi-million pound refurbishment programme of each room. And the hotel has now added an elevator, making it easier for those with walking difficulties and heavy luggage. We are advised by the hotel that work will take place during normal working hours and that disruption to guests will be minimal as works will take place in discrete, partitioned areas only.

 Admire the 17th-century inglenook fireplace and original oak beams in the Watershed Restaurant - and the special offer for Holiday Extras customers too. When you order three courses from the table d'hote menu - normally £16.95 - you'll either save £2.50 per person or get a free glass of wine each.
We think we’d start with garlic bread with mozzarella before moving onto Mediterranean vegetable and cheese wellington with provencale sauce, topped off with one of the day’s desserts, though we might be swayed by the baked salmon fillet for main instead. The a la carte menu, which features steak, sausage and mash and cannelloni, is also very reasonable - prices start from £4.25 for a starter, £9.50 for a main and £3.75 for a dessert.
Dinner is served from 6pm to 9.30pm; there’s also a bar menu, with baked potatoes, baguettes, sandwiches and burgers as well as main meals. And there’s a big screen TV too, so you can watch some sport with a drink before or after your meal.
In the morning, there’s cereal, fruit and toast on offer, as well as a cooked breakfast, from 6am to 9.30am on weekdays and 6am to 10.30am at weekends.
