Sofitel Heathrow T5
Sofitel Heathrow T5

'Beautiful' is how one of our happy customers described the Heathrow Sofitel ... but we're not sure exactly what adjective quite does justice to what has to be the most luxurious hotel we sell. What we are sure of is that this 5-star French hotel embodies all the elegance, sophistication and joie de vivre that our Gallic neighbours are famous for. If the fantastic spa, where you can have a massage, a dip in the jacuzzi or a Turkish bath, doesn't make you go ooh la la, the two restaurants certainly will. As you bite into a soft madeleine in the tearoom, you'll realise this place has enough je ne sais quoi to make the start of any holiday magnifique. The Sofitel Heathrow was named best airport hotel in Europe, and third best airport hotel in the world, at the World Airport Awards in 2011. We can't say we're surprised.
This booking cannot be cancelled or amended. Wifi is included in triple and quad rooms only, these room types are Sofitel Suites. Overnight parking is charged at £15 a day. If you have decided to upgrade your booking by adding on either Spa Access or a 30 minute back, neck and shoulder massage, please call the Spa direct on 0208 757 7741 to arrange your appointment.
Located on T5, the hotel is connected to T5 via a covered walkway.
The earliest check-in time is 2pm and the latest check-out time is noon, unless otherwise arranged.
The unique Vivre restaurant offers a live cookery experience, where your meal is prepared right in front of you. There are five interactive "theatres": Deli, Hot Wok, Grill, Forno and Sweets, with a la carte live cooking in the evening. Can't choose? Vivre offers a set menu for £24.50 for two courses or £28.50 for three. The restaurant opens from 6 to 10pm. On the other hand, you could opt for traditional, fine French cuisine at La Belle Epoque. Enjoy stunning, skyline views or dine in the heart of the kitchen at the Chef's Table. You could start with scallops in a thai-scented pumpkin puree and caramelised cassava root or a carpaccio of turbot with truffled, scrambled quail eggs, then follow with smoked Guinea fowl in jasmine tea with byaldi and truffled gnocchi or pork belly filled with black olive and shiitake mushrooms, pearl barley risotto and a Calvados jus. On the other hand, you could go for the set, four-course menu for just £24.95. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner on weekdays, but just dinner on Saturday and is closed on Sundays. Both restaurants serve a breakfast menu; Vivre offers a hot buffet, while La Belle Epoque has an a la carte breakfast menu. For a lighter option, try the hotel's Tea Salon, serving nibbles and light lunches along with a selection of exotic teas. The hotel also has two bars, the casual Sphere sports and cocktail bar, and the more-formal Library bar.
