Long Stay Heathrow Airport

Long Stay car parking at Heathrow Airport is a great value option if your trip is for more than a couple of days. As the official on-airport long stay car park it offers am efficient and convenient service with frequent transfers to the terminals. The car park holds the Park Mark award for safe parking and features CCTV, floodlighting and frequent security patrols. A free jump start service is available if required.

Parking Information

Long StayOn arrival at the car park simply take a ticket at the barrier and park your car in an available space, as directed by the signs. You may then take a courtesy transfer to the appropriate terminal; buses run every ten minutes with a journey time of around fifteen minutes. On your return from your trip take a transfer back to the car park, return to your car and park up in the Customer Services area. Hand over your entry ticket and booking confirmation and this will be exchanged for an exit ticket.

Security Measures


The site is manned 24 hours a day and is protected by CCTV, a fence and frequent patrols by high profile security vehicles. The car park holds the Park Mark security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. Before being awarded the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police. They have to have modern security measures and be clean and well-lit. Car parks which have been awarded the Park Mark are regularly reinspected by the police.

Arrival Procedure


The car park has an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system, so make sure you enter your vehicle registration number correctly when you make your booking. When you arrive at the car park, take a ticket and follow signs to the zone indicated on the board. Make a note of the zone and the nearest bus stop. Your booking reference will be printed on the ticket. If instead it says 'cashier', you should report to customer services on your return.

Please note that transfers between 22:30 and 05:00 are on request. If you need a transfer between these times, please call the car park direct to arrange this. Bookings cannot be changed within 24 hours of your arrival time. Long Stay is the official long-term Heathrow car park and was previously called Parking Express. Parking charges are calculated in periods of 24 hours from the time you arrive at the car park until the time you leave. If you stay for more days than you booked, you will be charged for the extra days at the car park's standard daily rate. If you stay for fewer days than you booked, you will not be able to get a refund.

Departure Procedures


To transfer back to the car park from terminal 1, go to the Long Stay courtesy coach pick-up point and catch the Long Stay bus. Passengers flying into terminal 3 should go to bus stop 17. To get out of the car park, insert your entry ticket into the machine at the barrier. Your number plate will be read and the barrier will lift automatically. If your ticket has 'cashier' printed on it, report to the customer service office by the exit.

The buses have low floors and space to accommodate wheelchairs. The BAA Help Bus, a special bus designed for passengers with mobility problems or a lot of luggage, is also available but you need to request it in advance.

There are no height restrictions, although the largest vehicles the car park can accommodate are transit-type vans or 16-seater minibuses. If a vehicle takes more than one space the car park may charge for two spaces.

Transfers


Transfers to and from terminals 1 and 3 are provided 24 hours a day and take between seven and 15 minutes. They run every 10 to 12 minutes between 4.45am and 11.45pm, and on demand outside these times.
