Security Measures
The car park is fully secured and is regularly patrolled by security staff. It has a barrier, a high perimeter fence and lighting at night and there are plans to install CCTV. This car park has been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. Before being awarded the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police. They have to have modern security measures and be clean and well-lit. Car parks which have been awarded the Park Mark are regularly reinspected by the police.
Arrival Procedure
The car park has an automatic number plate recognition system, so make sure you enter your car registration number correctly when you make your booking. We recommend that you bring a copy of your booking confirmation with you. Drive up to the entry barrier and press for a ticket. Your car registration number and booking reference number will be printed on your ticket. Follow the signs to the nearest available spaces. Make a note of where you have parked and make your way to the nearest bus stop.

Information
There are roadworks on the M1 from junction 10 to junction 13 for the rest of the year, so we advise you to leave extra time for your journey to the airport. More detailed information is available on the Highways Agency website.
Departure Procedures
On your return please collect your car and drive to the exit barrier. The barrier should then automatically raise allowing you exit. If the exit column comes up with a price, press the intercom and quote your booking reference number. If for any reason the barrier does not raise please press the intercom button and staff will be able to assist you. If you have stayed in the car park for more time than you booked, you will have to pay the extra before you go. The machine will show the amount owed in the exit column and you can pay by credit or debit card.

Long Term (Pink) Parking
On arrival at the car park please take a ticket at the barrier and park in any available space. You may then take a courtesy transfer to the terminal; buses run every 15 minutes with a journey time of just ten minutes. On your return from your trip take a transfer back to the car park. Drive your car to the barrier and quote your booking reference number to the attendant via the intercom; you will then be allowed to leave.
