Friendly, relaxed, historic and full of character, the 17th-century Warmans Barn House Stansted is a place where you're guaranteed the warmest of welcomes. The five clean, cosy rooms look onto a secluded courtyard opposite the country pub run by the hotel's owners. But even with its exposed oak beams, model aeroplanes and lovely village setting, the pub's charm won't be what you'll fall in love with most. It'll be pipped to the post by the delicious food.

This hotel does not allow children - you must be over 18 to stay here. Reception is in The Ash, the pub opposite the hotel, which means you need to check in before 10.30pm. If you have booked a package which includes parking while you are away, you will need to leave your car keys with the hotel, as your car will be moved that night to a secured car park within the airport grounds. Parking is only available on and after the night you stay at the hotel, not before your stay. Your taxi back to the hotel to pick up your car is not included in the price and will cost you about £10. All guests are asked to show a credit or debit card when they arrive at the Warmans Barn. The hotel will swipe your card. This is nothing to worry about - it's purely as an insurance policy, in case any guest ever caused damage to the hotel, or didn't pay their restaurant or bar bill. The hotel won't keep your details on file - they'll be shredded when you leave. Please note: Commercial vehicles are not allowed.

The earliest check-in time is 2pm and the latest check-out time is 10am. The hotel reception is in The Ash, the pub opposite. You must check in before 10.30pm.
With its exposed oak beams, model aeroplanes and friendly locals, the Ash pub, where food is served, will charm you even before you look at the menu. But when you do, you'll see why those friendly locals keep coming here again and again. How about homemade salmon, roasted pepper and tarragon fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce as a starter, followed by chicken and leek pie with mashed potato and garden peas - and then, no matter how full you are, sherry trifle for dessert. If it's fine, you'll be able to eat outside on the terrace. Food is served from Monday to Thursday from 11am to 9.30pm, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 10pm. A breakfast menu is available from 11am to noon, and the full menu is available after that. Prices for breakfast range from £2.50 to £7.95.
