Security Measures
The car park is fully covered by CCTV, including the entrance, and is patrolled 24 hours a day. Mid Stay Stansted has also been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. To achieve the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police to prove that they have modern security measures and are clean and well-lit.

Arrival Procedure
The car park has an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system, so make sure you enter your vehicle registration number correctly when you make your booking. You should bring your booking confirmation to the car park. Drive up to the entry barrier. The machine will read and recognise your car registration number. This should take about 15 seconds. A ticket will be printed showing your booking reference and the barrier will lift. Park your car and transfer to the airport. If the barrier does not give you a ticket within 15 seconds, press the button for a ticket.

Information
Parking is at Mid Stay. Please note that parking charges are calculated in periods of 24 hours from the time you arrive at the car park until the time you depart. If your actual stay is longer than your booked stay, you will be charged extras on departure at the car park's standard daily rate. No refund will be issued for part used stays and any additional time will be charged at the local gate rate.
Departure Procedures
If your ticket does not have your booking reference printed on it above the barcode, show your ticket and your booking confirmation to a parking attendant, or press the call button on the exit barrier for help. If your ticket does have your booking reference printed above the barcode simply drive to the exit barrier. Insert the ticket you were given when you arrived at the car park and the barrier will open.

On arrival at the car park your registration number will automatically be read and a ticket with your number printed for you - please take this and then park your car in any available space. You may then take a courtesy transfer to the terminal; buses run every ten minutes with a journey time of just five minutes. On your return from your trip simply take a transfer back to the car park and insert your entry ticket at the exit barrier, which should then rise to allow you to exit.
