Security Measures
The car park is fully covered by CCTV, including the entrance, and is patrolled 24 hours a day. Mid Stay Stansted has also been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. To achieve the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police to prove that they have modern security measures and are clean and well-lit.

Arrival Procedure
The car park has automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) - so make sure you give us the correct car registration number when you book. You should bring a copy of your booking confirmation to the car park with you. The barrier will lift automatically when it recognises your number plate. This should take about 15 seconds. It will give you a ticket with your registration number on - keep this ticket, as you'll need it to get out of the car park. Then just park your car and wait for the transfer bus to the terminal. If the barrier doesn't lift or give you a ticket, press the help button.

Information
If you need any extra days' parking, the car park will charge you for the extra days at its normal rate. If you don't use all your parking, unfortunately we can't give you a refund for the unused days. Days are counted not from midnight to midnight but from the time you arrive at the car park. You need to give us your car registration number either when you book, or sometime before you go. It needs to be the right one - if you change the car you're going to be travelling in, you need to give us the new details. You must do this, or the car park will charge you £10 when you leave, because if they don't have the right registration number, it holds things up when you arrive and leave.
Departure Procedures
If your booking reference is printed on your ticket above the barcode, you can drive straight to the exit barrier when you've picked up your car. Put your ticket into the slot and the barrier will lift. If your booking reference isn't on your ticket, you'll need to show your ticket and your booking confirmation to a member of staff, or press the help button on the exit barrier.

Mid Stay
On arrival at the car park enter the credit/debit card used to make your booking at the barrier and a ticket will be printed with your booking reference on it. Take this and park your car as directed by the signs. You may then take a courtesy transfer to the terminal; buses run every 20 minutes with a journey time of 15 minutes. On your return from your trip take a bus transfer back to the car park. To exit simply insert your entry ticket at the barrier, which should then rise to allow you to leave.
