For some people, getting up in the middle of the night full of excitement and the mad rush to the airport is all part and parcel of the holiday experience. However, it isn’t for everybody and many prefer to start their getaway with a relaxing stay in a hotel close to the airport.
There are hundreds of hotels surrounding the UK’s busiest airports all which offer slightly different experiences to the intrepid traveller. From budget hotels offering a comfortable night’s stay before your flight, to luxury hotels offering spa treatments, gourmet food and a truly luxurious pre holiday break.
Airport hotels offer a quick transfer to your dedicated terminal with little to no fuss and many of them also have airport parking so that you can leave your car for the duration of your trip and be back on your way home when you return quickly.
Airport Hotel Choice and Availability
Airport hotels were once just simple motel-style establishments with the view of simply offering a bed for the night before or after your flight.
They offered convenience for travellers who had extremely early flights and who didn’t fancy journeying to the airport in the dead of night. However, more recently an emphasis has been placed on the experience of the guest and airport hotels have evolved into a service based on luxury.
There are of course still budget hotels which offer simplicity but now you have more of a choice depending on how you would like to begin your holiday.
The Sheraton Skyline is an exceptional airport hotel located at Heathrow airport with regular transfers. The hotel has a Sky Garden as well as heated indoor pool with a tropical garden. There is also a gym and several restaurants. There are also excellent disabled facilities with six dedicated rooms for disabled travellers.
If you are on a tighter budget then the Travelodge at Manchester airport offers all the amenities you could ask for and is perfect if you are travelling with children.
No matter what you are looking for in an airport hotel, there will be more than one option open to you and many of them have secure parking with the option to leaving your car for the duration of your trip. We currently have more than 240 hotels all over the country for you to choose from which we can tag on to your airport parking booking.
If we notice that your car park arrival time is particularly early in the morning then we will automatically and instantly offer you a selection of airport hotels with airport parking for you to choose from so that you can begin your getaway calm and relaxed after a proper night’s rest.

For example, the Holiday Inn Express and Premier Inn at Liverpool Airport are both located less than a mile away from the airport itself and both offer a comfortable stay with free Wi-Fi and breakfast, should you have time for it.
The Holiday Inn Express actually serves breakfast from 4am until 10am so that early fliers can still enjoy the most important meal of the day. Traveling with children can be stressful at the best of times and finding a family friendly hotel which caters to your needs can take a huge weight off your shoulders. Anyone with children knows hoe restless and bored they can get, and just how quickly too!
The Crowne Plaza at Manchester airport not only offers a relaxing and comfortable stay but they also keep the kids in mind. The hotel offers a sauna and a gym for the adults to unwind and also PlayStations in the rooms to keep the kids happy.
The Britannia at Manchester airport is also great for families with free Wi-Fi in the rooms and a special area in the restaurant dubbed “kids’ corner”. Premier Inns and Holiday Inns surround many of the UK’s busiest airports and also offer a fantastic stay for families with double and family rooms and inexpensive prices.
The Holiday Inn located near Newcastle airport has plenty to keep the children entertained. The hotel boasts 16 acres of grounds, a swimming pool, sauna, children’s TV channels and even a games room. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and all under 12’s eat for free in the restaurant, which is a huge bonus for families travelling together.

If you are looking for a hotel which caters for disabled guests then there are plenty out there. We would say, however, that the Ramada Encore (now the Holiday Inn) at Luton airport has probably the best and most comprehensive disabled facilities including lowered switches, emergency pull cords, handrails and wet rooms in their specially adapted rooms.
