Airparks Self Park

This car park is just 14 minutes from the terminal. With included, regular shuttle buses 24/7 at a fantastic price it's a great option for parking at Birmingham.

Covid-secure

The Airparks team have introduced a whole host of measures designed to make your journey as safe and contact-free as possible.

All drivers will be wearing masks and you'll be asked to wear a face covering too.

Buses are cleaned with sanitiser throughout the day (with a deep clean in the evening) and there'll be fewer passengers per bus, but don't worry, Airparks are still delivering the swift and efficient service they are famous for.

Need to know

Drive to the car park - directions and a postcode for your satnav will be on your booking confirmation. When you arrive a member of the team will check you in while you stay in your vehicle, directing you where to park. Keep hold of the ticket you'll be given, along with your car keys, and make a note of where you've parked for when you get back.

Then head to the nearest bus stop to catch the shuttle to the terminal. It's included in the price, takes around 14 minutes and runs regularly, 24 hours a day.

When you return catch the bus back to Airparks. Show the driver the ticket you were given when you arrived, so the bus can drop you off at the zone you parked in.

Accessibility

The shuttle bus is wheelchair accessible and there are accessible parking bays, which work on a first come, first served basis. Give Airparks a call before you arrive if you need any assistance.

Facilities

The car park has well-lit bus shelters and toilets.

Security

The car park is secured by:

  • Perimeter fencing
  • Entry and exit barriers
  • CCTV
  • Regular patrols

The small print

Government regulations require passengers on shuttle buses to wear a face covering. Remember to bring a face covering and have it on before you get on the bus. You'll need one for each member of your party.

Help us go green! There's no need to print out your booking confirmation, just show it on your mobile device or even better try out our handy app.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £15 per day. This is subject to change.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles or vehicles with 8 or more seats) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2.1m barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

Arrival Procedures

Drive up to the barrier, which will rise automatically. Stay in your car while one of the Airparks team checks you in and directs you to where you need to park. Make sure you make a note of where you've parked for when you get back. You'll be given a ticket which you'll need to keep safe and you'll need to keep hold of your keys too.

Walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the shuttle bus to the terminal. It's included in the price and runs regularly, 24 hours a day. The journey takes around 14 minutes. If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

Departure Procedures

Catch the shuttle bus back to Airparks from bus stop A. You'll need to show the driver the ticket you were given when you arrived, so the bus can drop you off in the zone you parked in.

Drive to the exit barrier and insert your ticket into the machine. If you have any problems press the help button.

Security

The car park is protected by CCTV, a high fence, entry and exit barriers, floodlighting and regular patrols. All these features have earned the car park the Park Mark security award from the police, who inspect the site at least once a year to ensure standards remain high.

Transfer Information

Airparks provides free transfers, 24 hours a day. The buses run every 25 minutes, and the journey to the terminal takes 14 minutes outside rush hour.

Disabled Information

All Airparks buses are accessible, but the toilets in the car park aren't. If you need assistance, please call Airparks at least 30 minutes before you arrive and they'll be happy to help.

Insurance

Parking is always at the vehicle owner's own risk.
