Thomas Cook Make It Easier For Customers To Pay Off Their Holidays.

Thomas Cook are now trying to gain their customers confidence and stay at the top of the travel industry.

The high street travel agent has introduced a way to make it easier for customers to book holidays, which I have to say has moved with the times.

Customers can now book a holiday with Thomas Cook with a low deposit and pay off their holiday with a monthly direct debit.

Idea Proving Successful

The high street travel agent seems to have put down the gauntlet to other travel companies by making it easier to afford a holiday. The new service has already received a warm response from customers who said it would help make it much easier for them to budget and afford a summer holiday.

The new service is easy to use. Customers need to look for a holiday, and when they have found their holiday they can go to the checkout and choose their payment option.

How It Works

At the checkout, they have the option to spread the payments by choosing direct debit or the normal payment options. There are no interest charges, which makes the service even better.

Thomas Cook has teamed up with GoCardless to offer the new service, which is set to change the way people pay for their holidays.

By partnering with GoCardless, we’re offering our customers an easy, fee-free way to spread the cost of their holiday whilst securing upfront at minimal cost.”

The Thomas Cook new way of paying for a holiday may worry First Choice and Thomson, who have always seen themselves as the leaders in the travel industry.

It seems Thomas Cook have done their research and found one of the main reasons for the reduction in holiday bookings is due to trying to afford a holiday and budget for it. This way, customers can stop worrying about finding the huge balance payment and spread it out each month.

Our Small Survey

We spoke to ten consumers who normally use First Choice to book their holidays, and seven of them said the new service from Thomas Cook was a great idea and would convince them to start booking their holidays with them.

However, three people still felt they could not trust Thomas Cook, which shows they still have someway to go to get their customers on side.
