Helpful Aberdeen Airport Information
Aberdeen airport is relatively small with one main passenger terminal, but there is still a good selection of facilities on offer.
Before you go through security you’ll find the ubiquitous WH Smith, where you can get stocked up on travelling essentials like books, newspapers and sweets.
There’s also a Travelex currency exchange outlet and even a Rolling Luggage. So, if for some reason you haven’t got enough suitcases with you, or you fancy upgrading your case, then now is your chance to buy another!

Eating & Drinking at the Airport
Feeling peckish? If you’ve got some time to kill before heading to the departure lounge or want to say a final goodbye to loved ones, you can grab a bite to eat or a drink with the choice of local café, Joe’s Coffeehouse, The Granite City Wetherspoon Pub or The Kitchen.
Once you’ve cleared security and are through to the departure lounge you will find Costa Coffee for your pre-flight pastry and Latte or you can head to The GLOBE pub, which is the place to go if you want a pint and a full English at any time of day.
Each has a unique selection of tasty grub and refreshments to get you ready for your trip.
Check In
Check-in at Aberdeen Airport couldn’t be easier, so if you haven’t already checked-in online you can simply head to the traditional airline desks to drop off your luggage or opt for the easy self-service kiosks in the arrival concourse.

Smoking at the Airport
For smokers, make sure you head outside the arrivals hall to a dedicated smoking area before heading through security. This will be your last chance until you land, as there are no smoking facilities once you’re in the departure lounge.
The airport is also well equipped with smoke alarms (including in the toilets) and you're liable to receive a hefty fine if caught smoking inside the terminal building.
