Car Parking at Durham Airport
Durham Airport offers on and off site car parking. If you choose to use the on-site parking, then the terminal is in within walking distance, which means no need to use a shuttle bus.
Durham Airport car parks offer 24-hour security where the car park is manned 24 hours a day and provides CCTV. Due to the security features in place, the airport has been awarded safe parking status by Park Mark.
If you decide that you would like to use one of the off-site car parking facilities, then there are a number of them to choose from. All off-site car parks provide a free shuttle bus to the airport.

Instead of being tired due to the journey to Durham Tees Valley Airport you can unwind and feel relaxed by spending a night in a hotel close to the airport.

Durham Tees Airport Tip
One thing to be mindful of is that there is a passenger facility fee in place at Durham Airport. Basically, you have to pay to go into the departure lounge!
The cost is £6 for adults, £2 for children aged 3-15 years and infants go free. You have the option to pay in advance or use one of the pay stations at the check-in area before you go through security.
