Long Stay T1 and T3 Terminal 1,3
You're only minutes from departures at this official T1 and 3 car park.
When you arrive at the car park:
- Drive to the car park - the full address and directions will be on your confirmation email.
- Drive up to the barrier where your car registration will be automatically recognised.
- Find a space, park and keep your car keys.
- Walk to a bus stop and take the shuttle bus to the airport.
Shuttle bus:
A shuttle buses runs to Terminal 1 and 3 every 10 minutes. The journey takes 5-10 minutes and buses run 24 hours a day.
Security:
Your car will stay where you park it for the duration of your trip. The car park has:
- Regular patrols
- Park Mark award for security
- Fences
- Entry and exit barriers
- Floodlighting
Accessibility:
- The car park has 24 Blue Badge bays in the car park which are on a first come first served basis - youâ??ll need to display your Blue Badge whilst you're away.
- The transfer buses are wheelchair accessible.
When you get back to the car park:
- Get the shuttle bus back to the car park.
- Drive to the exit where your car will be recognised and the barrier will lift to let you out.
Hints, tips and extra bits:
If youâ??re delayed picking your car up youâ??ll need to pay for the extra parking. Youâ??ll be charged the car parksâ?? overstay fee which is currently £20 per day (Aug 2017). If you pick your car up early we canâ??t give you a refund.
Arrival Procedures
Drive up to the barrier, which will recognise your number plate and rise automatically. Drive in and park in any space.
If the barrier doesn't raise, hold the QR bar code (a square with patterns in it) on your confirmation up to the scanner on the machine. Aim the red laser light at the code and you should hear a beep and be let it. If this doesn't work either, press the intercom to speak to someone at the car park. Don't press the green flashing button as this is for customers who've not booked.
To get the the airport, use the shuttle bus, which runs every 5-10 minutes, 24-hours a day and is included in the price.
Departure Procedures
Drive to the barrier and it will lift automatically. If you've stayed longer than you booked for, you'll be prompted to make payment using the chip and pin device. If you encounter any problems, press the intercom for help.

Security
The car park is fully secured and is regularly patrolled by security staff. It has security fencing and good floodlighting.
This car park has been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. Before being awarded the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police. They have to have modern security measures, such as alarms, CCTV monitoring, clean surfaces and well-lit parking.
