Long Stay

Most booked Stansted car park. Convenient, secured and regular buses.

Covid-secure

The Long Stay has introduced measures designed to make your journey as safe and contact-free as possible.

You'll see social distancing signs at the car park and on the shuttle buses, which you must follow. The buses are being cleaned more regularly and there'll be fewer passengers on each one. You'll also need to wear a mask on the bus and at the airport.

Need to know

Drive to the barrier and your number plate will be recognised. The entry barrier will lift automatically, so you can drive in and park in any space - you can even keep hold of your keys while you're away.

Then, head to the help point to request a pickup. The shuttle bus will collect you from the stop. They run 24 hours a day every 15 minutes, take 15 minutes and are included in the price.

On your return catch the shuttle bus back to the car park from where it dropped you off. Collect your car and drive to the exit barrier which will lift automatically. If it doesn't rise press the intercom button for assistance and quote your reference number.

Accessibility

The car park's shuttle bus is wheelchair friendly and there are designated Blue Badge bays, which are all signposted in zone Q. They work on a first come, first served basis and you'll need to display your badge while you're away.

Security

The car park is secured by:

  • CCTV
  • Floodlighting
  • Security fencing
  • Regular staff patrols
  • Entry and exit barriers
  • Park Mark awarded

The small print

Government regulations require passengers on shuttle buses to wear a face mask. Remember to bring a face mask and have it on before you get on the bus. You'll need one for each member of your party.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period of 6 hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £23.50 per day, which is subject to change.

Help us go green! There's no need to print out your booking confirmation, just show it on your mobile device.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m). If you have an oversized vehicle just head for zone Q.

Arrival Procedures

Pull up to the car park's barrier - it will read your number plate, dispense a ticket and open for you. If it doesn't, then it will not have recognised your number plate and you will be charged again for your parking. If this happens, press the button to talk to the car park's team.

When you're ready, catch the car park's bus to the terminal. It takes 15 minutes, runs every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, and is included in the price.

Departure Procedures

Catch the bus back to the car park from where it dropped you off. Tell the driver where you parked and they'll try to drop you off nearby.

When you've collected your car, drive to the barrier and it will open to let you out. If the barrier doesn't open, press the button to speak to someone at the car park.

Security

Long Stay Stansted is fully secured and has CCTV, security fencing and lighting at night. It is manned 24 hours a day and there are regular site patrols. Long Stay Stansted has also been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. To achieve the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police to prove that they have modern security measures and are clean and well-lit.

Transfer Information

Transfers between Stansted Long Stay and the terminal are included in the price of your package. They run 24 hours a day every 15 minutes and take approximately 15 minutes. You should allow 45 minutes to check into the car park, park and transfer to the terminal.

Disabled Information

There are 26 bays for Blue Badge holders in zone Q. If signs are up saying these zones are closed, Blue Badge holders are still free to enter and park in the designated spaces. Just be sure to press the assistance button at the zone's bus stop to ask for the bus to pick you up. The courtesy coaches are wheelchair accessible.

Insurance

Offers free cover for damage resulting from any act or omission on the part of its servants or agents. Parking is at vehicle owners' own risk.

Streetview is a Google service and in most cases we are able to instantly show you the exact location you are looking for. However, sometimes some manual navigation will be required to, say for example find the car park entrance or the front of the hotel.

Everything went very smoothly.

Thankyou for looking after my car. Both bus drivers were rude and impatient with customers. The machine on exit did not recognise my pre paid ticket. The lady I spoke with for assistance was also rude and Impatient. A shame.
