Need to know

Drive to the barrier and your number plate will be recognised. The entry barrier will lift automatically, so you can drive in and park in any space - you can even keep hold of your keys while youâ??re away.

Then, catch the shuttle bus to the terminal. They run 24 hours a day every 10 minutes, take 7 minutes and are included in the price.

On your return catch the shuttle bus back to the car park from where it dropped you off. Collect your car and drive to the exit barrier which will lift automatically. If it doesnâ??t rise press the intercom button for assistance and quote your reference number.

Accessibility

The car parkâ??s shuttle bus is wheelchair friendly and thereâ??s designated Blue Badge bays. They work on a first come, first served basis and you'll need to display your badge while you're away.

Security

The car park is secured by:

  • CCTV
  • Regular staff patrols
  • Entry and exit barriers
  • Park Mark awarded

The small print

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period of 6 hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and youâ??ll be charged the car parkâ??s standard rate of £25.50. Please note this is subject to change.

Help us go green! Thereâ??s no need to print out your booking confirmation, just show it on your mobile device or even better try out our handy app.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 3.5m barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

Arrival Procedures

Pull up to the car parkâ??s barrier - it will read your number plate, issue you with a ticket and open for you. If you have any problems, press the button to talk to the car parkâ??s team, but make sure you donâ??t push the button to take a ticket as you will be charged again for your parking.

Once parked make sure you keep a note of which zone you are in and when youâ??re ready, catch the car parkâ??s bus to the terminal. It takes 7 minutes, runs every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day and it's included in the price.

Departure Procedures

When you return collect your luggage and follow signs for 'Buses to Mid Stay car parkâ?? - the bus stop will be in front of the terminal. Tell the driver which zone you parked in and theyâ??ll try to drop you off nearby.

Drive to the exit barrier where your car will be recognised and the barrier will lift to let you out again. If the barrier does not lift or if you have any problems press the call button at the barrier to speak to a member of staff. Do not put in a credit or debit card as you may be charged again.

If you are delayed coming back or you decide to extend your trip you can pay for extra parking when you return (this is charged at £25.00 per 24 hours subject to change).

Security

The car park is fully covered by CCTV, including the entrance, and is patrolled 24 hours a day. Mid Stay Stansted has also been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. To achieve the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police to prove that they have modern security measures and are clean and well-lit.

Transfer Information

The transfer bus runs 24 hours a day, every 10 minutes. Transfers take 7 minutes and are included in the price.

Disabled Information

The car park has disabled toilets and disabled parking bays and the transfer buses have low floors.

Insurance

Offers free cover for damage resulting from any act or omission on the part of its servants or agents. Parking is at vehicle owners' own risk.

Streetview is a Google service and in most cases we are able to instantly show you the exact location you are looking for. However, sometimes some manual navigation will be required to, say for example find the car park entrance or the front of the hotel.
