Old-fashioned elegance meets modern luxury at the Renaissance Hotel, which will charm you as soon as you step through the door. The vast, newly-refurbished reception area, with its chandeliers, grand piano, huge white pillars and leather sofas, whisks you back to the 1970s, when the hotel was built. But don't be fooled - there's nothing retro about the first-class facilities, which include a health club, a sophisticated restaurant and air-conditioned, soundproofed rooms. And the amazing views of the runway, right behind the hotel, ensure you'll never forget you're in the 21st century.
