Holiday Inn Newcastle near Newcastle Airport

As a family hotel, it's hard to find fault with Newcastle airport's Holiday Inn. With free meals for under 12s and a welcoming atmosphere, the hotel is designed for kids. Once you've checked in, there's 16 acres of grounds for them to wear themselves out in and children's channels on the TV to keep them busy until bed time. If you manage to escape for half an hour, you can even take advantage of the hotel's pool.

Leave the A1 at the A19 / Tyne Tunnel / Cramlington junction. At the next roundabout, take the first exit. The Holiday Inn is about 500 yards down the road on the right.

Choose from the buffet or the a la carte menu in the Blagdon Brasserie, which serves dinner from 18:00 to 21:30. Children under 12 eat free from the children's menu, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. One child per adult can eat free.

Snacks and Belgian beers are served in the Mercury bar from 11:00 to 23:00.

Disabled Facilities

The hotel has two accessible rooms for disabled guests, one of which has a wet room. They have bigger bathrooms, wider doors, and vibrating pillows for guests who are hard of hearing. The hotel also has an induction loop for guests who are hard of hearing.
